Destinations, Trip Inspiration

Pictured here is a path at Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto, Japan. The shrine was built way back in 711 AD and continues to be used to this day (mostly for rice-related requests, I suppose, since Inari is the Japanese god of rice cultivation). I’d love to walk through this orange and black barrage of words on my way up to the 230 meter summit shrine–now only to learn Japanese and get the full experience.
