Return to San Luis Obispo: Land of Green

Destinations, iReports

I call it the “land of green”, but this emerald city only gets to look like Ireland for a few weeks each year. But those weeks do tend to be quite beautiful.

As you can see, the rain hasn’t entirely come through this season. This view at Laguna Lake isn’t bad, though, and the path that you see extends for quite a distance.

The trees behind my car here almost remind me of the East Coast. They’re not quite dense enough for that, but they’re still beautiful.

This is the actual mud-infused Laguna Lake, with an array of old volcanoes lining the background. Almost looks like the Amazon, doesn’t it? I’ve heard it’s best to stay out of the water; but at least it doesn’t smell.
