If you didn’t know, “sidecountry” is a term for off-piste terrain right next to a ski resort. Here are a few shots from the short journey.
Here’s my friend riding some powder near the top of the run. Did I mention it snowed over a foot? Just imagine that feeling for a moment.
And here’s a look up at (part of) the run from the very bottom. We reached a road and had to walk over to an hour-long gondola line.
This is a shot from the second run. Views like this were available almost the whole way down, but we were all too focused on riding to notice except when we had to wait for each other. The powder somehow lasted all day; we even recognized our own tracks on the second run down.
