10 inches of fresh snow fell on Sierra-at-Tahoe Ski Resort last night. So, naturally, I had to go.
My friend lent me his first powder board (he’s got 3 now) for the occasion. Weird-looking, isn’t it? It’s real easy to turn it in the trees, though.
The snow directly beneath the lift was mostly tracked out by the time I took this photo; but those pines have still got fruit to bear.
And there it is: the powder itself, largely untouched and waiting to be ridden. It was a little bumpy, as you can see, but this hidden area gave me fresh tracks all day.
