Halfway up the eastern coast of Greenland lies the desolation of Scoresbysund. Of course, the vast majority of Greenland is desolate, so this particular desolation isn’t so remarkable, apart from the bleak wonder of the mountains against the iceberg-ridden coast. But then it is remarkable, isn’t it?
