London: the World’s Premier Vegan Destination

COVID-19, Destinations, Travel Safely, Trip Inspiration

Given the apparent prevalence of animal products in the English diet (fish and chips, sausages, etc.), it might surprise you to know that London was titled the #1 most vegan-friendly city in the world by HappyCow in 2020.

The vegan movement has been more active here than almost anywhere else, and there are now 125 completely vegan restaurants within a 5 mile radius of the city. These range from burger-and-shake joints (The Vurger Co., VBurger, etc.) to bakeries (Young Vegans Pie Shop, Crosstown Donuts Vegan, etc.) to even a vegan cheese shop (La Fauxmagerie).

The economic impact of COVID-19 aside, these places will only continue to multiply as the vegan population inevitably grows. So get your forks ready and your British accent locked in: it’s time to go to London.
