Top 3 Places to Go in Australia during COVID

COVID-19, Destinations, Trip Inspiration

Australia is a Level 1 (minimal danger) Covid risk, so it’s an especially good travel location at the moment. Here are some of the legendary places you could see for yourself.

1. Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef is dying, and has been for years on end. Before it’s a colorless shell of its former self, however, you can still see it in much of its glory by helicopter, plane, or goggles and snorkel. I’d recommend any of the above.

2. Uluru

This 550-million-year-old rock formation is 450 km from the nearest large town, in the middle of the Northern Territory (the big red spot on the satellite map, basically). Uluru is a sacred Aboriginal site as well, but its remoteness alone is enticing.

3. Great Ocean Road

Great Ocean Road is a 243 km stretch of road along the southern coast of Australia. It’s perfect for a Covid-friendly RV getaway, with countless natural sights to see along the way, from Erskine Falls to Teddy’s Lookout.
