New York City’s Central Park: Respite amidst the Pandemic

The pandemic may still maintain its hold on us, especially in places so populous as NYC. But there are magical places worth going even now. Central Park is one of them.

This photo of the park in winter is in parts haunting and peaceful. One can practically feel the chill air just by viewing it. There’s no one in sight and that forest is just begging to be explored.

Here we see a few thinking creatures atop a stone bridge with an ancient appearance. The surrounding trees are skeletal and the water dark. Everything moves with the wind and snow.

And here is a glimpse of a world not so far away. The sky’s reflection, peppered with algae and surrounded by green, would seem to be more beautiful than the sky itself. People gather at the edge in proximity not seen in nearly a year.
